This policy explains what personal information SecureFLIT collects through secureflit.com, why, and what rights you have. If you have any questions, email hello@secureflit.com.
Who we are
SecureFLIT (“we”, “us”) is a cybersecurity services business based in the United Kingdom. We are responsible for the personal information described here and decide how it is used. Contact: hello@secureflit.com.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, company, work email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
- Emails you send us: your email address and anything you include in your message.
- Technical information: like every website, our hosting provider’s servers record standard information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. We use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions and block spam.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell your information. We only ask for business contact details; please don’t send us sensitive personal information.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss working together. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, and steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- To keep the site secure and protect it from spam and abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To meet legal obligations, for example keeping business and tax records if we work together.
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list unless you ask us to or agree to it. If we ever send you marketing emails, every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run SecureFLIT and who must protect it:
- Hostinger — hosts this website and our email.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we start working together, in which case we keep business records for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years in the UK). You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for visitors. Cookies are only used when a site administrator logs in to manage the website. If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation, where applicable.
To use any of these rights, email hello@secureflit.com. We will reply within one month.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
Free guide downloads
When you download one of our free guides, we collect your name, work email and company. We use them to send you the guide and occasional emails about testing and reviewing AI security products. We keep your details in WordPress and in our email provider, SendFox. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time by writing to hello@secureflit.com.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Our site saves one small note in your browser so the guide popup doesn’t keep appearing after you close it or download the guide. It contains no personal information and isn’t shared. If you log in to manage the site, WordPress uses its own login cookies.
